We are dedicated to the work of helping each individual child reach their potential.
The goals of our curriculum are:
To help each child develop a positive self-image and to encourage in each child a love of learning as a foundation for independent thought and action, for a lifetime of creative learning.
To develop in each child, an awareness and understanding of their environment. To improve communication skills, perceptual awareness and motor coordination, thereby increasing the level of the child''s readiness for success in school and future life.
To develop in each child the ability to think quantitatively, to understand the structure of the number system and the logic of arithmetical operations. To foster aesthetic values through experience in art, music and other creative and cultural experiences.
To encourage wholesome social exchange toward the development of consideration and respect of others.
These goals are to be achieved by means of:
A prepared environment which meets the needs of children for order, beauty and the freedom to work at their individual pace.
Didactic materials which are sequential and are supplemented by teacher made material and other correlating educational materials.
Teachers who have received Montessori training (or are in the process of training) from a nationally recognized training center such as: National Center for Montessori Education (NCME), American Montessori Society (AMS), etc.
